For 17 years, the Bud Kuhl Wood Bat Invitational has honored the late Mr. “Bud” Kuhl
by supporting local groups with local needs. We may not be big, but we are mighty:
every volunteer gives their time, and 100% of donations support the causes we serve.

Three days of baseball, family activities and unforgettable stadium experiences.
More Than Baseball
Stadium Tours
Saturday and Sunday at 2:00 with Clyde Wright back as host.
Family Field Time
Bring the family for dugout pictures. Little League teams are encouraged to arrive suited up with their coaches.
Diamond Club Concessions
Food, drinks, stadium treats and libations are available Saturday and Sunday.
Youth Pitching Clinic
Chuck Finley will host a youth pitcher clinic in the bullpen. Please confirm youth participants with Mike Niotta.
Bud Kuhl
Aloyious Kuhl was born on March 27, 1923, in Beckemyer, Illinois. He was the oldest of seven siblings and was nicknamed “Bud”. Bud entered the military in 1943 and received honorable discharge from the armed services of the United States in 1946. [ Read More ]
Charities
Dennis Kuhl, the Chairman of the Los Angeles Angels, has been a strong supporter of all charities related to children and sports. Orange High School baseball field is now the Bud Kuhl field! Dennis and the BK Invitational have always supported UCP-OC located at 980 Roosevelt, in Irvine. High quality therapy is the #1 priority as it provides the greatest hope for maximizing a child’s potential. [ Read More ]
Family Fun Day
Tours: Clyde Wright will be giving tours of the stadium, including the club house / locker room, press box and dugout! Your chance (only!!) to see where the #27 jersey resides during the season (hint: locker # 1!) Great photo opportunities and fun stories…that only our “Clyde” can tell. [ Read More ]
Angels Stadium
Angels Stadium hosted the first Bud Kuhl Wood Bat Invitational in 2008. The Invitational has become an anticipated experience for local woodbat players including Halo Baseball Club as well as teams representing our police, fire departments.
